ABOUT STEFAN
Stefan played professionally in both Scotland & England after having graduated through Glasgow Rangers academy before moving to Blackpool FC (English Championship). Having sustained several knee injuries during his time in England, Stefan was forced from the pitch into the technical area at the age of 23 after a spell at Montrose FC.
Since then he has embarked on a coaching career in both the men's and women's games. Stefan is current Assistant Manager at Scottish League Two Club Elgin City FC. Others Roles have included Assistant Manager at Huntly FC, Academy Coach at Blackpool FC, Aberdeen FC and U20 Head Coach at Greenock Morton FC. Progressing through multiple UEFA Licences to hold UEFA A Licenses at youth and senior level over his 9-year coaching career, Stefan was for a time the youngest Head Coach in British top-flight football when appointed at 26 , stepping into the women's game to become the Head Coach at Aberdeen FC Ladies side whilst also heading up their youth development. He is vastly experienced in both men's and women's game.
Coaching at a high level has involved time spent observing first hand some of the world's best coaches during club visits, learning his craft and striving to increase knowledge and techniques. Coaching visits and/or relationships have included Paris Saint Germain, Lyon, Ajax, Feyenoord FC , Blackpool FC, Manchester City, Cardiff City FC, Los Angeles Galaxy, Aberdeen, Rangers, Celtic, Greenock Morton FC , Partick Thistle FC & more. SJL also hold close contacts within the Highland League and throughout the regional men & women's games for maximum exposure for local players.
